ZEISS IOLMaster 700
During cataract surgery, the natural, clouded lens is removed and replaced with an artificial lens (intraocular lens = IOL).
In order to achieve the best possible vision afterwards, the eye must first be measured precisely. One of the most accurate devices available for this purpose is the IOL Master 700 from Zeiss, which is equipped with SWEPT Source OCT technology. This makes it possible to determine the eye length, corneal refractive power of the front and back surfaces (total keratometry), corneal curvature, and anterior chamber depth in a single procedure without touching the eye. These values are used to calculate the selected intraocular lens.
