Surgery – minor surgical procedures in the eyelid area
A person’s appearance is largely determined by the area around their eyes. We tend to have a positive impression of people who look at us with wide eyes. On the other hand, a face with wrinkled eyelids conveys tiredness, aging, and sadness.
Barley grains, warts, or drooping eyelids also detract from the overall appearance and can also impair vision.
A drooping eyelid can partially or even completely cover the pupil. The eyelashes rub against the cornea of the eye when the lower eyelid is turned inward. Tears overflow when it is turned outward. Both malpositions can be surgically corrected in our practice.
The skin of the eyelids contains loose connective tissue and therefore loses its elasticity over the years. This can result in drooping eyelids and wrinkles. We can remedy this with blepharoplasty surgery to correct the eyelids. This involves removing excess fat and wrinkled skin, thereby tightening the skin.
