Dr. med. Delia Bendschneider
Practice owner, Head PhysicianYour ophthalmologist Dr. med. Delia Bendschneider studied in Freiburg im Breisgau and completed her specialist training at the renowned University Eye Hospital Erlangen. She has been a specialist in ophthalmology since 2009 and is a Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology. From 2013 to 2020 she worked as a senior physician in the Department of Ophthalmology at Sankt Gertrauden Hospital in Berlin, focusing on glaucoma diagnostics, glaucoma surgery, macular diseases and cataract surgery. She has many years of experience in laser treatment and eye surgery.
Dr. med. Rinata Sigal
Practice ownerYour ophthalmologist Dr. med. Rinata Sigal completed her medical studies at the Charité – Freie Universität Berlin. She undertook her specialist training at the Benjamin Franklin Eye Hospital under Prof. Förster, the Bellevue Eye Hospital in Kiel, the Prof. Anders Eye Day Clinic in Berlin and the Vivantes Eye Hospital Neukölln under Prof. Pham, acquiring a broad spectrum of knowledge. She maintains her professional expertise through regular and intensive further training.
She is a member of the BVA (German Professional Association of Ophthalmologists) and the DOG (German Ophthalmological Society). Since 2009 she has worked in private practice as part of the team of ophthalmologists on Kurfürstendamm.
Dr. Eva Schneider
Specialist in OphthalmologyYour ophthalmologist Dr. Eva Schneider studied medicine in Göttingen and Magdeburg and graduated with the state examination in November 2007. She completed her specialist training from 2008 to 2015 at the renowned University Eye Hospital Erlangen, where she passed her specialist examination in November 2014. She then worked for around ten years in an ophthalmology practice in Berlin. She joined the Eyemed Berlin team in October 2025.

Mehmet Emin Sucu
Specialist in OphthalmologyYour ophthalmologist Mehmet Emin Sucu studied medicine at Istanbul University and completed his specialist training in ophthalmology at the renowned Beyoğlu Eye Training and Research Hospital in Istanbul. He has continued his career in Germany since 2022, most recently as lead surgeon at an eye day clinic. Today he is part of the Eyemed Berlin team.
His areas of focus are cataract, corneal and refractive surgery. He is a Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO), has published numerous scientific papers in international journals and has presented his results at congresses of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS).
He speaks German, English, Turkish and Kurdish.
Jana Babenko
Specialist in OphthalmologyYour ophthalmologist Jana Babenko studied medicine in Ukraine and completed her specialist training in Kharkiv. In Germany she worked at the Berlin Eye Hospital Marzahn (Chief Physician Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Christopher Wirbelauer) and in the Department of Ophthalmology at Sankt Gertrauden Hospital (Chief Physician Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Joachim Wachtlin), obtaining German specialist recognition. She then worked in private practice in Hamburg and as an investigator in clinical trials. During this time she also qualified in aesthetic medicine. She is a member of the German Society for Aesthetic Botulinum and Filler Therapy (DGBT). Today she is part of the Eyemed Berlin team.

Pressian Valtchev
Resident PhysicianPressian Valtchev studied medicine at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, one of the most renowned medical faculties in Europe. After graduating in 2025 he joined Eyemed Berlin as a resident physician in June of the same year. Here he is deepening his knowledge across the full spectrum of ophthalmological diagnostics and treatment and supports our team with great commitment and care.
Kimon Dimitriu
Resident PhysicianKimon Dimitriu studied medicine at the Medical University of Plovdiv from 2019 to 2025 and gained practical clinical experience during his studies. In 2025 he worked as a student assistant with Dr. med. Peter Ruokonen, gaining comprehensive insights into ophthalmology. After receiving his licence to practise in March 2026 he continued working there as a physician. Since October 2026 he has been part of the Eyemed Berlin team, where he will begin his specialist training in ophthalmology in January 2027. He is also completing his doctorate at the Charité Berlin.
