ZEISS IOLMaster 700

Optical biometry device with SWEPT Source OCT

During cataract surgery, the natural, clouded lens is removed and replaced with an artificial lens (intraocular lens = IOL). To achieve the best possible vision afterwards, the eye must first be measured precisely. One of the most precise devices available for this is the IOLMaster 700 from Zeiss, which is equipped with SWEPT Source OCT technology. In a single procedure it can determine axial length, corneal refractive power of the front and back surfaces (Total Keratometry), corneal curvature and anterior chamber depth without touching the eye. The selected intraocular lens is calculated from these values. We offer this examination in our practice.
