Dry eyes?
We treat the causes.
Modern diagnostics. Individual therapy. A better quality of life.
Our specialised Sicca clinic offers extended diagnostics and individually tailored treatments for patients with statutory and private insurance. Examinations and treatments are carried out after consultation and a transparent cost agreement.
Understanding Dry Eye
Burning, a foreign-body sensation, redness, watering or fluctuating vision: a range of tear film disorders can lie behind these symptoms.
The three components of the tear film
Meibography: healthy meibomian glands (left), gland loss (right)
Precision Diagnostics
Using the O.S.A. analysis system we examine the tear film without contact and without dyes – the basis for your individual treatment plan.

Tear film analysis / NIBUT
Measurement of tear film stability and break-up time.

Lipid layer interferometry
Assessment of the protective lipid layer of the tear film.

Meibography
Imaging of the meibomian glands and their structure.

Tear meniscus measurement
Assessment of the available tear volume.

Lid margin and redness analysis
Assessment of signs of inflammation, deposits on the lid margin and redness of the eye.
Healthy Lid Margins
Targeted treatment for blepharitis and meibomian gland dysfunction.

Lid margin cleaning (AB Max)
Professional removal of biofilm, crusts and deposits from the lid margin.

Blephasteam® – moist heat therapy
Heated goggles from Théa warm the eyelids evenly with moist heat for 10 minutes. This liquefies thickened meibum and prepares the glands for expression.

Meibomian gland expression
Targeted expression of blocked glands to support the lipid layer.
Modern Light Therapy

E-Eye – IPL / IRPL light therapy
Targeted light pulses to support meibomian gland function and relieve dry eye symptoms.
A pleasant aesthetic side effect: With suitable parameters, IPL can also improve the appearance of the skin in the treated area. Fine lines and superficial pigmentation may appear softer.

LLLT – LED light mask
Complementary treatment with the HydraFacial LED light mask: red light for inflammatory lid margin changes.
For your skin, too: With further HydraFacial treatments we can also take care of your skin health if desired. The LED light mask is also used for rosacea, acne and wrinkles.
Further Innovative Therapies

Tixel – thermal pulse therapy
Controlled heat pulses to treat meibomian gland dysfunction – without laser or light pulses. Usually 3 sessions.

Punctal plugs
Small plugs for the tear ducts reduce tear drainage – especially in cases of tear deficiency. Absorbable or longer-lasting.

Lacrifill® – hyaluronic acid gel
A clear gel in the tear duct reduces tear drainage for up to 6 months. Not visible from the outside.
